Man-oh-man! It’s hard to believe that it has been a little over a year since I launched Southern Exhilaration! So first of all, I want to thank all of you who have followed along and put up with this journey. When I started this little corner of the internet, I wasn’t really what sure what to expect or how things would go, but without you, my readers, I definitely could not come back here week after week to share my travels. The purpose of this post is to share with you the direction I want to take my space, and I hope you’ll stick with me as we see where Southern Exhilaration can go.

Why I Blog
The easy answer? I love to tell a good story, and I love to travel, so travel blogging seemed like a good fit. The real reason? I want to share my passion for exploring not only your backyard but also those places that are far reaching. We aren’t all perfect, so I want to share with you my triumphs and mistakes so you can tuck them in your hip pocket for your adventures. In addition to sharing my stories, I want to hear from you! I desire for Southern Exhilaration to be a community. So don’t hesitate to share your advice, questions, concerns, etc. on my posts. I want to hear from you and learn from you as well.
What to Expect
You can expect regularly scheduled posts about different destinations, with a strong focus on the Southern United States. And by regularly, I am going to aim to publish at least once a week. I do work full-time, so there will be occasions where that will not work. But that is my goal.
These posts will be focused on the things to see, do, eat and where to stay at a particular location. I will also try to include a little history or fun fact about the destination because I like knowing how a place came to exist. I encourage you to interact with me on social media or comment below if you’d like to see something specific.
Lastly, I encourage you to join my email squad. That way we can connect on a more personal level than on here or social media. Also, I will send out free goodies to these particular individuals that you’ll not want to miss.
