Luggage Scale
Does the traveler in your life have a (suitcase) weight problem? If so, then a digital luggage scale will be an extremely useful gift. Packing habits change the more you travel, but having a scale on hand helps to ensure your traveler won’t be hit with surprise fees when they arrive at the airport.
Passport Cover
Nothing quite makes your passport stand out like a passport cover. There are several options to take when it comes to protecting your passport. You can have a design that also includes a wallet feature to hold your credit cards while you are traveling, like this one, but I don’t like the wallet style because if it is lost or stolen, then you are really out of luck. Another option is to go with a simple passport cover that helps your passport stand out if your traveler is going with a group. A final option is to go with a sleeve that provides RFID protection; this is my personal favorite.
Luggage Tags
Luggage tags are a great way to help your luggage stand apart in baggage claim. For some reason, the day you fly everyone on your plane has the same color bag. This tag matches the passport cover above if your traveler is the matchy-matchy type. These leather tags are perfect for your sophisticated traveler. Lastly, we have this fabulous four-pack of tags for the whole family.
Travel Journal
Every traveler has a story to tell, so help your traveler record their next adventure with a journal. I take a journal with me on every major trip I make to assist me in keeping track of the small details that I know I’ll want to remember later and to help me organize my photos as I travel from location to location. Here are three options to help start your journal hunt: this one, this one and this one.
Eye Mask & Ear Plugs
Sleep is hard to obtain when you are traveling, and it usually takes a little while to get acclimated to a new time zone. This is where an eye mask and earplugs can come in handy and are the perfect gift for your light-sleeping traveler. I have tried out several different types of masks, and I have found that masks similar to this one are by far the most comfortable.
Cord Organizers
Cords can get out of control in a suitcase or carry on. Help keep your traveler organized with this handy cord case that keeps everything right at his/her fingertips.
Mad Libs
There are only so many movies you can watch on those long-haul flights. Throw a little fun into your travelers carry on to break up the flight and break the ice with their seat meat. This version of Mad Libs is all about travel survival and its guaranteed to bring a laugh or two.
RFID Credit Card Sleeve
Safety is always a top concern for any traveler. I absolutely love using RFID card sleeves to provide an extra sense of security when I’m exploring a new country. They come in all different colors and patterns, but I personally like these.
Collapsible Water Bottle
Saving space is essential when it comes to traveling, but so is staying hydrated. Help your traveler do both with a collapsible water bottle.
