Last night my bible study gathered together to celebrate Christmas with a tacky sweater and desserts party!

I brought Monkey Bread Muffins as my something sweet, thanks to a recipe from Allie over at Peachfully Chic, and they were SO good! I think I found a new way to make monkey bread! We quickly loaded our plates with sweets and gathered together to catch up.

The desserts were seriously delicious, and we all quickly fell into a sugar coma. At that point, between round two and three of desserts, we decided it was time to spread the joy and open up gifts. We were going to play “dirty santa”, but get eight sweet girls in the room and you end doing a gift exchange! We all drew a number, and picked from the pile of gifts!

Tacky Christmas and Gift ExchangeI ended up picking the adorable snowman bag, and received a Starbuck’s gift card (yum!) and Jesus Calling (a great daily devotional)!

My contribution to the exchange was a “Three Cords” bracelet from Loft 218 Worldwide. After reading a friend’s blog post about the ministry, and looking at their pieces, I immediately knew this is what I wanted to give as my gift. A gift that keeps on giving. I seriously recommend checking out their online store – they have a lot of cute items for a great price! In addition to the bracelet, I also included the verse the bracelet is based, Ecclesiastes 4:12, and a little information about Loft 218 Worldwide.

All in all, it was pretty fantastic night! I just love my bible study!

  • So glad you liked the Monkey Muffins! They are probably one of the easiest sweets to throw together and always seem to be a hit! And I absolutely love that bracelet… I think I might have to gift that to myself this year! 😉

  • Oh I SO makes me miss my bible study group and our Christmas parties that we used to have when we lived in Tennessee. We have yet to find our fit here in Kansas. Looks like your party was so fun!
