Tucked in the North Georgia mountains, about 2 hours outside of Atlanta, is where you can find the majority of Georgia’s wineries and vineyards. One of these is the Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery. Three Sisters has been around since 1995, and is Dahlonega’s first family farm winery.

Southern Exhilaration: Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery | Dahlonega, Georgia #GAWine

I went up a couple of weekends ago to check out their Wine & Chocolate Lovers Celebration, which is every weekend in the month of February. With this experience you get to try artisan chocolates, by Paul Thomas Chocolates, and wines in a special tasting line-up. It is seriously delicious! I don’t think there was a wine I tasted or a chocolate I ate that I did not enjoy!

I highly recommend you try the 43 Pound Possum, Fat Boy Red, Walasiyi White and Cynthiana.

They have wine tastings every Saturday and Sunday, and it’s the perfect little get-away for the day from Atlanta!

What is your favorite Georgia winery? What is your favorite Three Sisters wine?

  • I shot a wedding several years ago at Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega. It was wonderful! It’s crazy because my husband and I fell in love with the area and 8 years later, we are now moving to N. GA!

I love the vineyards up in North Georgia. I’ve only been to Wolf Mountain before, but Three Sisters is on my list!

  • I’ve heard good things about Wolf Mountain. We tried to go when we were up there, but they were closed due to a special event. I’m hoping to go back this summer to try some other wineries out too!

  • Ooooh! I’ve never been to Three Sisters but I just took some friends from England up to Wolf Mountain last weekend. Love that place. I’ll have to try Three Sisters next time!
