Hiking to the top of Brasstown Bald has been on my bucket list for a while. So, for my 27th birthday we headed up to north Georgia to tackle the mountain. The trail is a nicely kept, asphalt trail that is a little over a mile long. The trail increases in elevation of 500 feet over the course of that mile. According to my iPhone, that’s equivalent to 30 flights of stairs.

Once you reach the summit, it is completely worth the effort. You are greeted with 360-degree views of the Blue Ridge and the Appalachian Mountains. You can see Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina from the summit.
