When I was purchasing my house, one of my must-haves was to have a space I could designate as a home office. Finding a three-bedroom provided just that opportunity!
My home office is located in the center of my house and functions as a semi-hallway from the living area of my home to the bedrooms, so I wanted to create a space that would tie all of the colors of my home together. I did this with paint, curtains, and artwork.

I painted three of the four walls with a classic gray color, named Revere Pewter, and painted the fourth wall with the purest white color available. The gray was the perfect shade to tie in the gray from my bathroom and the neutral paint color found throughout the house.
The neutral paint scheme in this room provided the perfect backdrop for one of my favorite features in my house: a gallery wall. This wall has been a work in progress as I have collected pieces over the years that really portray me and my favorite things. I have elephants, pieces to represent Atlanta and Tuscaloosa, and some of my favorite phrases. With the help of my father, the pro-picture hanger, I was able to have this dream come to life.

My parents gifted me with a comfy armchair and ottoman that I have plans of reupholstering with a pretty grey color to help finish off the room. With a floor lamp and the large window, it makes for the perfect reading corner.
With a ton of photography equipment, I turned my old IKEA dresser into a storage space and filing cabinet to make the most of the space.
