My new job has increased my awareness of road warriors, and any “road warrior” will tell you that having to live out of a suitcase, deal with airports, long car rides, and checking in and out of hotels on a regular basis is stressful, uncomfortable, and tiring. Here are some gift ideas to help make their routine trips for work more comfortable, and stress-free.
There is one thing living out of a suitcase will teach you, and that is how to pack. Surprise the road warrior in your life with a new hard-sided suitcase. Hardsided suitcases make a world of difference if you are continually boarding a plane.
Packing Cube Set
Packing Cubes have been the biggest lifesaver with packing. It makes it so much easier to throw things into the suitcase and to keep your bag organized when you stay in a different hotel a night. I recommend purchasing two sets as it certainly helps when you have a tight turnaround in your schedule or an extended trip away from home. This cube set from Amazon is a budget-friendly option.
A sound machine is a perfect companion for the road warrior who is a light sleeper. They do a great job of disguising noisy neighbors and obnoxious AC units. This sound machine is slim and compact so it won’t take up much room in the suitcase. Additionally, it offers six sounds and an optional auto-off timer. I own this machine, and it has been a game-changer for my quality of sleep when I’m on the road.
Another one of my travel essentials is a travel humidifier. This one converts a water bottle into a humidifier, which is super helpful in the winter months when the air is much dryer. Also, don’t miss the travel case that makes it easier to travel.
With more states implementing hands-free law and rental cars not including GPS, your road warrior’s phone is their BFF when it comes to finding their way to all their meetings. This air vent phone mount is the handiest thing. It is easy to install and fits just about every phone. Plus it is small, making it easy to throw in a bag if you are grabbing a rental at the airport.
Searching for radio stations can get old if your road warrior works out of their car. Gift them with an Audible Membership to supplement their entertainment for those long drives.
Encourage your road warrior to stay hydrated by gifting them a S’well water bottle. These things will ensure your warrior’s drinks will stay hot or cold during a full day.
Travel Facial Brush
For the lady road warrior in your life, treat them to a travel facial brush. The LUNA mini 2 is an enhanced facial cleansing massager with eight adjustable massage intensities. Small and compact, it’ll ensure your lady warrior will have great skin despite living out of a suitcase. For one that is more affordable, try the Beurer facial brush. I have this one and absolutely love it!
